VP, Business DevelopmentAlira HealthSuzy Engwall is the Vice President of Business Development at RedCrow – an Alira Health company. Suzy has been in healthcare for the last 16 years, but it was her passion to make change in this space that catapulted her into healthcare innovation arena 6 years ago. She joined RedCrow in April of this year. In this role, Suzy works to develop strategies to not only help healthcare startups obtain needed funding, but also to connect them with resources that can further propel them to success. While she is newer to the team, she is no stranger to the RedCrow platform and its offerings.
She spent the last 6 years as the National Director of the Innovation Lab at the Innovation Institute where she worked directly with health system leadership teams to setup and run their internal innovation programs and bring together cross-functional teams to solve some of today’s biggest healthcare challenges. In this time, the Lab was able to commercialize over 20 new products and countless internal process solutions at various health systems. It was also during this time that she began partnering with external organizations, including RedCrow, to match healthcare startups to hospitals where needed. She did this via a series of startup demo days as well as organically cultivating a network of some of today’s leading voices in the healthcare innovation community. Her goal at RedCrow is to continue assist promising healthcare startups in finding success in the rather challenging healthcare vertical.
