Senior Computer Vision Engineer

Olesya Peshko is currently a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Evolv Technology, a company at the forefront of physical security. She contributes to innovative projects on threat detection and computer vision and was a part of the core engineering team that created a free-flow touchless smart system for concealed weapons detection that was used to screen more than 60 million people. 

Olesya earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” in Kyiv, Ukraine, followed by a Master of Science and Philosophy Degree in Computational Science and Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, with concentration in medical imaging. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, traveling, and working on art projects.
