Director of Marketing and Communications Campaigns

Vibrant Emotional Health

For more than 20 years, Nicole Twohig has built a career in behavior-change communications and marketing that has touched a wide range of social and racial justice issues that include substance use disorder and harm reduction, Title IX and sexual violence, economic assistance, global climate change resilience and equity, and most recently, suicide prevention and mental health. She has significant experience working on state- and federally-funded grant programs, leading communications and marketing at nonprofits, and managing multi-million dollar budgets that require evidence-based campaigns.

Working as both a communication leader and advocate to uplift the voices of those that are often "othered," considered less than, or come from divested communities is at the heart of what drives Nicole's passion for her work. She believes in empowering others to be their authentic selves, to create workplaces that foster psychological safety, and encourage growth for individuals, teams, and organizations.

Nicole received her bachelor's degree in history from Vassar College. A New Jersey native, she lives with her husband and two children in Burlington, VT.
