Emerging Technology and Services Manager 4Efficiency VermontLaura Capps is a national leader in coordinating research and development projects related to climate, energy use, public health, and economics. She is the Emerging Technologies and Services Manager at Efficiency Vermont, the nation’s oldest statewide energy efficiency program, overseeing projects that align appropriate technology with initiatives that benefit all utility customers—including low-income residents.
She has 20 years of experience in training and leading industry professionals in building science, green building, renewable energy, and healthy buildings. Laura has a Master of Science degree in Architecture and Building Construction from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Art degree in Sustainable Development and Appropriate Technology from Appalachian State University. She is a Certified Energy Manager and a certified Building Analyst (Building Performance Institute), and holds seven other certifications in building energy performance. |
