Chief Administrative OfficerCity of BurlingtonKatherine Schad is a senior leader with 25 years of demonstrated experience managing high-performing teams at mission-driven organizations. She is currently the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Burlington, Vermont where she provides strategic and operational expertise across City functions including finance, human resource, and government operations.
She manages all of the CIty's financial operations and successfully navigated the City's $100M operating budget through the COVID crisis, including budgeting, administration, and audit. Before joining local government she had a long career in international development, most recently as Vice President of Project Support Services at Tetra Tech ARD she managed a corporate division of 45 staff across eight departments, ensuring excellence in program delivery, regulatory compliance, and rigorous financial management. She led a successful year-long reorganization and change management initiative to realign company operations and increase revenue. Prior to that, she had numerous roles at Chemonics International where she honed her experience in operations, human resources, project management, and financial management. She is known as a decisive, transparent, and collaborative leader who loves developing teams and helping people solve tough challenges. |
