Chief Operating OfficerWellfleetKaren Matys is a Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Wellfleet. She has over 30 years’ experience in the health insurance industry. Karen has successfully steered Wellfleet through its expansion from a TPA to an insurance carrier, streamlining operations while implementing impactful quality improvements that enhance the customer experience.
Prior to joining Wellfleet, Karen was the VP of Operations at Pioneer Management Systems. At Wellfleet, Karen serves as a board member and facilitator of the Women’s Networking Group and is a member of the MedPro Foundations of Insurance program, raising awareness of insurance careers among students at HBCUs and HSIs. She also serves on the WE CARE Volunteer committee. Karen lives in Holyoke, MA with her husband and has raised two beautiful daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time on the Rhode Island beaches, hiking, and playing with her dog Luna. |
