Content Design Manager

Karen is a people leader at a large platform technology company, based in Silicon Valley. She currently supports a team of content designers within a large UX organization. Her background is in financial services design management. While working for TIAA, she learned how to build a team from scratch and develop a new capability (a UX content strategy practice).

As a remote employee and manager, Karen is especially interested in reducing process friction, improving work quality at scale and making sure people feel comfortable in a distributed, high-pressure environment. She studied English at Stanford University and later earned an MBA in a part-time professional program at Boston University's Questrom School of Business. 

Karen lives in Massachusetts with her husband and daughter, who is in the first grade. Last year, she worked with other families in her community to form a Girl Scout Troop that she now leads.
