Emergency Preparedness ManagerThe MAPCElizabeth received her commission in the United States Army, where she spent eight years working as a Logistics Officer, managing maintenance readiness, logistical support, and mission command for the company. She then attendance Massachusetts Maritime Academy where she received her master's in Emergency Managment.
Currently Elizabeth works for the Metropolitain Area Planning Counsil as the Emergency Preparedness Manager. She is responsible for working with project stakeholders to research and develop project ideas to meet identified gaps in the emergency preparedness cycle and provide emergency preparedness consulting services to public and private sector stakeholders. Her focus is to assist stakeholders in enhancing capacity to prepare, respond and recover from manmade and natural emergencies by building, developing and delivering emergency preparedness and response trainings, plans and drills. Additionally, as the HMCC Program Manager, she is responsible for overseeing all grant programs and staff. She oversees all HMCC initiatives, including those that relate to the fiscal and administrative requirements of the Public Health Emergency (PHEP), Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), and Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) grant. She is a mother to a six year old and four year old. |
