National Grid

Colleen Hurley Gardner joins us as a utility professional with extensive experience in change management and communications at National Grid. She was a key member of the leadership team chosen to build and lead complex transitions including centralizing the employee relations function serving over 35,000 employees internationally. 

​Colleen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA, a Masters of Business Administration from Assumption College in Worcester, MA  and is a graduate of the Olin School of Business, Executive Education Program at Babson College.  

Colleen started her career as a regulatory analyst in the electric utility industry for the former New England Electric System.  Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, the company today is now known as National Grid, an international gas, electricity and transmission company.  Colleen’s leadership role at National Grid included corporate roles as well as electric and gas operations positions.

She has participated in many women’s leadership programs, has been an advisor for college programs and was a founding member and instructor in the women’s leadership program at National Grid known as Women in Networks.  Colleen is an  advocate for work - life balance and is an avid golfer, as well as enjoys spending time with family, biking, & traveling.
