Director of field operations/ Business Growth Advisor

Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC)

Carla focuses her coaching and advisory on engagement, capability, and adaptability.  After 20+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, management, business and Lean transformation at IBM and GlobalFoundries, she joined the non-profit VMEC, Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center.  Carla made this shift to follow her drive to make positive impacts in the people and systems that make communities stronger.

Carla chose Vermont to grow her family and her career, after graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, and after continuing graduate work in Microelectronics Manufacturing at RPI.  With each day an opportunity to learn, her credentials and intentional practices continue to grow, including Lean Leadership, Strategy Engagement, Talent Pipeline Management, Training Within Industry, Root Cause Structured Problem Solving, Improvement and Coaching Kata, Positive Intelligence, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and many others.  Both in the front of the room presenting, or facilitating workshops as well as “going to see” with individuals and small groups, Carla strives to share and make more vibrancy together.
