IT Project Manager

Austen Riggs Center

I’ve taken the untraditional career path. It did not involve college. The journey has been guided by doing what is in my power to do and exploring the possibilities presented. The positions I’ve had typically started fairly small and well defined. I would then see places I could help, ways I could improve the work and do them, they weren’t in my job description they were in my power to do.

The jobs then grew and morphed in fascinating ways into something often completely different and always at a higher level. It’s been a diverse journey ranging from book and magazine publishing, graphic design, communications and fundraising, project management, product management and citizen development. I enjoyed each new challenge, helping grow the potential of those on my teams and sharing what I’ve learned along the way.

My life journey has been centered around spending time with family and in the quiet of nature. I ground myself in daily walks in the woods, most often with my partner and dog. I gain strength from my family. The loving safety net they provide allows me to operate more freely. I can be respectfully honest knowing no matter the consequence I can’t fall very far. It is a blessing I wish for all people.
